HOW CAN I HELP YOU?
M ost companies create boxes and cubes and place people into roles like widgets on an assembly line, never tapping into the true creativity of their workers. VickiMcManus.com is a resource for those looking to break free from the dull-drums of a 'job' and into the enjoyment of a career. Through weekly blog posts and podcasts, I'll share with you tips to build the emotional stamina needed to bring true joy to your everyday work life.
CRAFT YOUR DESTINY
You don't have to "own the company" to own your destiny. In fact, most people will never start a business, and will always work for others. Bringing creativity to your work is what I call being an "Intrapreneur." I'll help you discover your inner strengths and how to bring that to every aspect of your day.
Born into a family of small business owners, entrepreneurship runs deep in my veins. As a kid, my Dad paid us for piece mill work fabricating metal art. By 5th grade my friends and I had started a stationery business during art class (color paper was new and all the rage in the 1970's).
My love for business matured within the healthcare industry. As a nationally recognized speaker on marketing, communications, and business development, I've had the privilege of sharing the stage with Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer, and others in the field of performance management.
The business development company founded by myself and business partner, Bruce B. Baird in 2004 has been recognized on Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private businesses in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Honored with a Silver Stevie: Female Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2013, I've been blessed to be surrounded by amazingly talented people.
